THE PERFECT STORM

“ORDO AB CHAO” 

The term perfect storm is used in meteorology to describe a hypothetical hurricane that hits literally the most vulnerable area of ​​a region, causing maximum damage from a hurricane of that category.

The times we live in is characterized by multiple crisis happening all at once: economic, political, institutional, social, moral and spiritual crisis. In short, a real perfect storm … so perfect that it seems more difficult to believe that it is the result of chance.

• · How could it be “by chance” that the most vulnerable area of ​​my post-modern society is so cleverly located, masterfully exploiting the weak points?

• · And how could it be “by chance” that revenge is directed specifically and precisely against the most vulnerable with the specific intent to cause them as much damage as possible?

• · And if this world is going to be buried by the chaos of the perfect storm, which new order will result or originate from this perfect storm (as the Latin saying goes “Ordo Ab Chao” meaning ‘order out of chaos’), and who will benefit the most?

The walls of political institutions are collapsing, as well as the walls of religious institutions.  Only a few years ago it would have been impossible to imagine such a  meltdown so ruinous to their credibility, only a few years ago it would have been impossible even to imagine. Unbelievable but true: even the most powerful and enduring pillars of my society are dragged in the mud in this perfect storm.

Nothing can stop the dark forces that have intensified all around the same goal: to give power and authority to the father of this perfect storm. Yes, this perfect storm, seemingly aimless, has a father who is going to build a new world with new political and religious institutions and kick off a new era.

But the end of this story is revealed to me by biblical warnings: the dark forces will fight against Jesus and Jesus shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and even His fans will win. (Revelation 17:14)

Even though all my worldly references are drowning in the sea of ​​chaos, I want to remind you that my polar star is in the heavens, even above the most perfect storm. And nothing will tarnish its bright light that will show me the way ‘home’.
